Blenheim Palace is a monumental stately home situated in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. It is the seat of the Dukes of Marlborough. The palace, one of England's largest houses, was built between 1705 and circa 1724. UNESCO recognised the palace as a World Heritage Site in 1987. This illustration comes from a beautiful book on the history of arts. It was published in 1879 in Leipzig, Germany for academic studies. The book is in an excellent condition, with superb woodcuts on fine paper. You will find many more pictures in my lightboxes. Source: »Kunsthistorische Bilderbogen, I. Theil/ II.
